A new project–funded by our Effects of Sea Level Rise Program–is underway to evaluate sea level rise vulnerability and flood risk in combined coral and mangrove ecosystems in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The results of this two-year project will inform nature-based solutions, adaptation planning, and coastal management decisions that account for sea level rise and flooding impacts.

Partners in this effort include U.S. Geological Survey and University of California, Santa Cruz.
