A new project is underway in the Gulf of Mexico that will provide critical information and predictive tools to coastal managers for understanding how species will respond to changing hypoxia conditions from ongoing and projected warming. With this information, coastal managers and stakeholders will be able to plan for nutrient reduction strategies to minimize the hypoxic zone within the context of climate change and species health.
