Poussard currently manages the environmental compliance portfolio for NCCOS Internal and External projects. She also writes web articles and communications products highlighting NCCOS science and works on projects involving coastal resilience and natural and nature-based features.
Prior to working with NCCOS, Poussard was a Sea Grant Knauss Fellow with the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program, where she coordinated the US Coral Reef Task Force, engaged in Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease response coordination, and conducted environmental compliance reviews of the Grants Program's cooperative agreements. She graduated with an MS in Coastal Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Lab, and did a detail at the NMFS Northeast Fisheries Science Center working on bivalve stock assessments. She received a BS in Biology from the University of Virginia.
