NOAA's National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science and Northeast Fisheries Laboratory are working with outside partners to merge Farm Aquaculture Resource Management (FARM) model results with the Connecticut Aquaculture Mapping Atlas. The resulting map layers in the atlas are expected to help Long Island Sound shellfish growers and regulators make informed aquaculture siting decisions. NOAA's partners on the project include Connecticut Sea Grant, the University of Connecticut, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, working at the Milford, Conn. National Marine Fisheries Service laboratory and at Avery Point, Conn.
